For the leader of the series about Dutch tattoo legend Henk Schiffmacher, his wife Louise, and daughters Morrison and Texas, we used photos from the rich family archive. Showing the young Henk, as well as the Henk today and his family. Reflecting his extraordinary life and his legacy.
As an extra visual element, we added a sailor tattoo design by Henk, which symbolizes Faith, Hope, and Love. It can be found on the door of his tattoo shop and in other places in his shop. For the typography and title, we used a typeface designed by Donald Beekman that was based on the golden letters that can be found at the Vondelpark entrance. It’s a reference to Amsterdam, but it also has that tattoo-lettering character. The song is from Johnny Cash, one of Henk's heroes.
The leader became a personal portrait, that fits the series that shows the personalities and love of this amazing family.
